The Construction Management Program trains participants in managing construction projects effectively. It introduces the role of the construction manager, project lifecycle, types of construction projects, and key success factors. Construction planning and scheduling covers WBS, construction sequencing, baseline schedules, short-term planning, manpower and resource management, labor productivity planning, equipment deployment, material management, and subcontractor coordination. Cost control and budgeting include cost estimation, budget monitoring, cost variance analysis, and control measures. Quality management includes quality planning, ITPs, inspection and test procedures, non-conformance management, and continuous improvement. Safety management covers site safety regulations, hazard identification, toolbox talks, permits, and accident prevention. Contract and site administration include understanding contracts and drawings, client and consultant coordination, change management, and claims basics. Progress monitoring and reporting cover daily and weekly tracking, quantity measurement, reporting formats, and project review meetings. Risk and issue management covers risk identification, mitigation strategies, delay analysis, and issue escalation. Field practices and case studies include real construction project scenarios, common site challenges, best management practices, and lessons learned.
