Big opportunities tomorrow.
This hands-on program trains fabricators in pipe cutting, fitting, alignment, and assembly techniques for process piping systems in industrial construction and maintenance projects.
The Pipe Fabricator Program trains personnel in pipe fabrication, from material handling to final handover. It covers pipe fabrication basics, fabricator role, drawing interpretation, material identification, and workflow. Pipe materials and grades include carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel with various piping applications. Cutting and edge preparation cover manual and machine cutting and bevel standards with quality checks. Fit-up and alignment include root gap control, hi-lo management, tack welding practices, and dimensional accuracy. Welding coordination covers weld joint types, welding sequence, weld numbering, and repair awareness. Piping spools fabrication involves isometric reading, spool assembly, tolerance control, marking, and traceability. Dimensional inspection includes length and orientation checks, angle verification, nozzle alignment, and rework control. Hydrotest and NDT readiness cover test preparation, NDT coordination, hold points, and acceptance process. Safety and permit compliance includes hot work safety, lifting awareness, PPE requirements, and housekeeping. Shutdown and site fabrication cover field constraints, time management, coordination with erection, and final handover.
The module highlights how thoughtful planning can directly improve project quality, reduce accidents, and help projects finish on time and within budget.
