The Scaffolder Inspector Program is designed to develop competency in inspecting, approving, and monitoring scaffolding systems to ensure safe work at height. It covers scaffolding fundamentals including types of scaffolds, load classifications, inspection authority, and the role and responsibilities of a scaffold inspector. Scaffold components include standards and ledgers, braces and boards, access systems, and tie arrangements. Erection standards address design compliance, correct erection sequence, load transfer principles, and foundation checks. Inspection procedures include initial inspection, scaffold tagging systems, re-inspection cycles, and defect identification and reporting. Scaffold safety focuses on risk identification, fall prevention, dropped object control, and weather-related impacts. Load and stability checks cover imposed loads, overloading risks, foundation settlement, and tie integrity verification. Permit and compliance topics include scaffold permits, work-at-height regulations, documentation, and audit readiness. Modification and dismantling control addresses change management, mandatory re-inspection, safe dismantling sequences, and site safety. HSE and incident response include emergency access planning, incident reporting, corrective actions, and toolbox leadership. Reporting and records cover inspection logs, scaffold registers, client acceptance, and legal traceability.
